A Business Lawyer to Help Get You Started

My name is Megan Phillips, and I’m the owner of a small consulting business. I started my business two years ago, and at the time I made a pretty big mistake. I didn’t hire a business lawyer to help me get started. I was six months into my business before I realized that I might need some help. A sole proprietorship seemed the way to go when I first opened. Of course, I didn’t know the difference between that and other ways to organize a business. I had heard of LLC’s, partnerships and corporations but for some reason didn’t think that would apply to me. Turns out they did. There were other things my attorney helped me with in order to ensure I was protecting myself and my business.
